Dr. Tecoa Turner - Pediatrician
Dr. Tecoa Turner is a general pediatrician with over 10 years of experience, who recently relocated from New York. She is a former National Health Service Corps Scholar, where she served the eastern Long Island, rural northern Florida, South Bronx and Schenectady, NY communities promoting early childhood literacy as the Reach Out and Read site coordinator. Dr. Turner has also been a cultural competency educator.
Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Dr. Turner was the Valedictorian of her high school graduating class and graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with Honors. She then attended the NY College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her pediatric training at the University Hospital at Stony Brook where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident. Dr. Turner is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. When not seeing patients, she enjoys community outreach, reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, two daughters and her son. |
